My two tween-agers have been complaining about not having any socks to wear…and apparently they’ve been wearing the same stinky socks for two or three days in a row now.
Yeah, I know, P. U.!
Since I’ve gotten all caught up on the laundry I was able to find some fresh socks for each of them to wear this morning but was kinda left wondering why there weren’t more socks….where could they have gone? Did they run away? Did the dryer eat them? Are they on vacation in the Bermuda Sock Triangle?
Perhaps they are lost in the messy room that I have been asking the girls to clean all week. I guess they’ve just been too busy doing tween stuff.
So while they were away at school today I decided to help them out and clean it for them. I found most of those missing dirty socks under the beds with a bunch of candy wrappers and other miscellaneous trash.
It took me about an hour to get their room all spick-n-span. I even made their beds! Wasn’t that nice of me?
Oh, I can’t wait for bed time when they go to climb into their nicely made beds and they find all their dirty clothes and candy wrappers under their covers! Maybe they’ll stop forgetting that they have a hamper and a trash can.
And as they drift off to sleep they might be wondering what that horrific stench is…hopefully they’ll discover the stinky socks that I found and tucked away in their pillowcases!
I’ll betcha they never want me to discover their room a mess again.
